Stephen Cox joined the firm in 2024. A native of Bossier City, Louisiana, he has returned home after many years of education to prepare for the role of representing clients in the areas of estate planning, tax law, and succession law. Stephen obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi in 2019; his Master of Business Administration from Louisiana Tech University in 2020; his Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University in 2023; and graduated with a Master of Law in Taxation from Southern Methodist University in May 2024.

The primary focus of Stephen’s estate planning practice is educating clients on the importance of having documents in place for the protection of your person and property while living and communicating your wishes for the distribution of that property upon passing. Additionally, he helps businesses and families with structuring tax-efficient transactions and will represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service when a controversy arises. Upon the passing of a loved one, Stephen guides families through the often emotional process of opening and closing a succession. No matter the scenario, Stephen attempts to utilize his tax training to explain the tax and non-tax aspects of actions taken in furtherance of a client’s goals.

Stephen married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Anna Cox, in 2023. They, and their two dogs, Addi and Teddy, live in Bossier City, Louisiana. Stephen enjoys being outdoors with his family or spending time with his family at their camp when he is not working.
