Gatti Family Crawfish Boil Recap

Gatti Family Crawfish Boil Recap

Good Friday holds immense significance marking the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It serves as a reminder of the eternal significance of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. However, for the Gatti family, Good Friday holds an additional special place in their hearts. On Friday, March 29, the Gatti family continued their tradition by hosting the sixth annual crawfish boil at The Stable, an event that not only celebrates community but also serves as a means to give back to those in need.

The Gatti family partnered with Men and Women of Courage to help support students at Bossier Elementary, Cumberland Farms, and single-family households. With the help of Cooyon’s crawfish, over 1,000 pounds of crawfish and 100 pounds of shrimp were served at the event. The outcome of the event exceeded expectations, with a record-breaking number of donations pouring in. Over $7,500 was raised, alongside the collection of hundreds of gift cards, all of which will go towards supporting various charitable organizations and families in need throughout the area.

Through their collective efforts, people within the community demonstrated the true spirit of Good Friday – a day not only to reflect on the sacrifices of Jesus Christ but also to embody His teachings of love, compassion, and selflessness through acts of kindness towards others.

Cumberland Farms is dedicated to its mission to restore lives, create jobs, and ignite hope in a once-forgotten and neglected neighborhood with some of the most marginalized people. Every month, there are various items requested for donation. For May, the specific items requested include games, fidgets, bike accessories, and balls.
